I'm Colombian, though I currently live in Paris. I'm a workshop facilitator and researcher, with experience in research and hands-on work with communities and audiences across many sectors, countries and ages. My field is Hispanic Philology — which is where my love of teaching Spanish comes from.
With me you'll learn natural, everyday Spanish in a simple and lively way, built on a conversational approach. My real calling is working with people, so you'll always get teaching full of heart and dedication.
We'll use music, short films, movies and interesting current topics to make learning more fun, more thoughtful and more human. You'll have your own notebook to track your progress and revisit lesson content whenever you like. You'll also get a Drive space with resources and the vocabulary lists we build together, little by little. :)

How does the subscription work?

When you subscribe, Stripe charges you automatically every 4 weeks. You'll get your personal Cal.com link to book lessons whenever you like within that period. No contracts — you decide when to cancel.
When can I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel freely from the first 4 weeks after your subscription starts. Cancellation is done directly from the Stripe portal (you'll get the link by email). Your access continues until the end of the period you've already paid for.
What happens if I don't use all my lessons within the 4 weeks?

You can carry over 1 unused lesson to the next 4-week period. Any other unused lessons are lost. I'd recommend planning your lessons from the start of each period to make the most of them.
Can I cancel or reschedule a lesson?

Yes, with at least 24 hours' notice, from your Cal.com link. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice are not made up.
What time zone do you use?

I currently live in Paris (CET/CEST). I already teach students on several continents, so my hours are flexible and I adapt to your time zone.
What's in the progress notebook?

With every lesson you get a digital notebook where you can follow your progress and revisit session content any time. It's your own personal learning tool.
Can I access individual lessons without a subscription?

Yes. In the Content section you'll find self-study lesson packs (Grammar or Vocabulary) at €50 each, with no subscription needed. Some lessons are free. You can also take one-off lessons if, for example, you need help preparing for an interview, a presentation or a specific situation.
How do I access the exclusive content?

When you subscribe to any plan, you'll receive access to the library's exclusive content by email. It's renewed every 2 months.
What is the Reading Club and how do I join?

The Reading Club is a free weekly space where we read and talk in Spanish over Google Meet — short stories, poetry and extracts from Latin American and Spanish literature. It runs every week on Google Meet and is open to all levels. Registration renews weekly: you just sign up before the session.

What is a "Rinconcito"?
"Rinconcito" — more than a name
"Rinconcito" is the diminutive of "rincón", meaning corner — a word we use fondly for those places that matter. It can be a small space in a house or a city, but also an intimate, safe place inside us where we keep memories, feelings and important moments. Hence the expression: "I keep you in a little corner of my heart".
El Rinconcito del Español is exactly that: a close, human, safe place to inhabit Spanish and allow yourself to be someone in this language.

All you need is the wish to learn and some curiosity about Spanish-American literature. Registration is weekly, to make sure there are participants every week.

Sign up at least 2 days before the session. That way I know how many people are coming and can prepare it properly.

Each week you'll find here the text we'll discuss — a short story, article, poem or novel extract. You read it at your own pace before the session.

On the day, you join us on Google Meet. We'll make room for reading aloud, conversation, comprehension and vocabulary in real context.

Everyone experiences the session in their own way, according to their level. The point is that everyone learns and everyone brings something unique.

Even if you don't say much in the conversation yet, hearing spoken Spanish in real context is valuable training. Listening to native speakers and other learners in action speeds up your comprehension.

The ideal moment to practise. You'll read aloud, answer questions, give your opinion and expand your literary and cultural vocabulary entirely naturally.

Cultural depth
Analyse, debate, add nuance. The texts touch on Latin American and Iberian culture, identity, history and society. The club's richest experience for those who already have a strong command of the language.

The controller of the personal data collected through this website is Camila (private Spanish teacher), operating in France. You can contact me through the contact form.
2. Data we collect
We only collect the data you provide voluntarily:
Contact form: first name, last name, email, Spanish level and message.
Reading Club registration: first name, email and Spanish level.
Subscription / payment: first name, email and payment details handled directly by Stripe (we do not store any card details).
Lesson booking: first name, email and time availability handled by Cal.com or Calendly.
3. Purpose of processing
We use your data solely to:
Reply to you when you get in touch.
Manage your Reading Club registration and send you the Google Meet link and the weekly text.
Manage your subscription and content access.
Send you the lesson booking link (Cal.com / Calendly).
We do not use your data for advertising purposes and do not share it with third parties other than those listed in point 4.
4. Third-party providers
To provide the service we use the following external services, each with its own privacy policy:
Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
Google Forms / Google Sheets — forms and registrations (policies.google.com/privacy)
Formspree — contact form delivery (formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy)
Cal.com / Calendly — lesson booking
Google Meet — running the online lessons
Umami Analytics — anonymous site traffic measurement, with no cookies or personal identifiers (umami.is/privacy)
5. Legal basis
The processing of your data is based on the consent you give us when filling in the forms, and on the performance of the contract for the provision of educational services in the case of subscribers.
6. Data retention
We keep your data for as long as we have an active relationship with you. If you cancel your subscription or ask us to delete it, we will erase it within a maximum of 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it (for example billing records for 10 years).
7. Your rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
Access: know what data we hold about you.
Rectification: correct inaccurate data.
Erasure: request that we delete your data.
Objection: object to processing in certain circumstances.
Portability: receive your data in a structured format.

This website does not use its own cookies or advertising tracking cookies. We use Umami Analytics to measure site traffic in a completely anonymous way, with no cookies or personal identifiers.
